Oh my days.
When a friend asks you to document her wedding, it’s a huge honour and a wee bit nerve wracking. But when that friend is an incredible wedding photographer on top of that. It’s quite terrifying, and an even bigger honour.

Ayzia and Ricky provided me with all of the goods. The good vibes, the style, the colours, the energy, the music, the epic vendors, the dogs and the good times! It was all laid out for me. But what makes our work so rewarding and so natural, is the love. Everywhere. Ayzia and Ricky have a natural flow about them, a beautiful easy connection that just inspires everyone around them to feel at ease, to feel happy and to reflect back to them all of that love. And they know how to fkng throw a killer party.

So much loving nostalgia flowed throughout April & Darren's wedding day.. It was held at the home of her Grandma (beautiful Dawn) & her Grandpa's house who had sadly passed not too long ago and a few people commented to me that they could definitely feel him there with them on such a special day. Memories were shared with me of running around that same backyard as children and playing on the beach just meters away.. The feel of the place and the day, and these stories, reminded me of the importance of my job to capture these moments to share with generations to come and I'm so grateful to be able to do so. xx Rae
